Protein samples are extracted from tissues provided byEvergreen Biology LLC or customers. To ensure high quality blots, each protein sample whether provided by customers or Evergreen Biology LLC is subjected to rigorous quality control test before use. We can make blots with up to 22 tissues each plus one prestained protein marker.
Construction of Western blots:
- Harvesting fresh tissues/cultured cells provided by Evergreen Biology LLC or customers.
- Homogenization of tissues/cells in protein lysis buffer supplemented with a cocktail of 7 mammalian protease inhibitors.
- Quantitation of total protein using sensitive and accurate protein assay.
- Testing the purity and integrity of protein by gel electrophoresis.
- Fractionation of protein (75 microgram) through large SDS-denatured polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
- Transfer protein onto PVDF membranes.
- Shipping blots at room temperature in sealed bags
